...but using Flashearth.com
Try this instead of Google earth. This site offers older ground pictures but the resolution is much higher for most of this country. So you can see what car is parked outside your house instead of a coloured blob at best. Oddly Microsoft is the best choice in the list.

Great site.

I didn't know there was more than one set of data (maps).

Who exactly takes all the images? I presume its one company, who sell the images on. How often are new images taken?

I guess its not the same for the same for the rest of earth but the images from above our shop are more up to date AND better quality with Google Maps than Microsoft.

They don't but some of us have children who may read this stuff now or in years to come - Amraams son for example.
